The band, being a cover/tribute band of Radiohead, is clearly going to reflect the style of that particular band, but in order to keep it from being a direct copy we've gone with trying to portray the band as basically a combination of the bands that influenced Radiohead (such as The Pixies and R.E.M.).
Radiohead, according to certain sites, spans the genres of alternative rock, experimental rock and electronic music, but to keep it simpler we've decided to just keep to the alternative rock genre.
And of course, we're aiming at basically the same people as Radiohead - young adults, possibly students, who like to listen to creative music and not just music that sounds like everything else on the charts.
We like some of your ideas, is the band name in relation to the original artist? We think it is a good idea that your aiming your audience towards the same audience as Radiohead.
ReplyDeleteWe like the idea for the music video, the illustration linking the song to the visuals. However, we think that you focused too much on the band being a 'cover band' and basically being Radiohead, rather than an original.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of a cover band is something I think is good :) i think the target audience is perfect for the style that you are going for, I just think that something to be careful of is not to imitate the band Radiohead themselves too much as you want it to be something that is original :) also, are the band that you are creating going to be following the same style as the Radiohead band members??
